The 6 Peak Real Estate College courses (modules) listed below meet (in fact exceeds!) the 168 hours of education required by the Colorado Real Estate Commission to obtain a license.
RES-101 REAL ESTATE LAW & PRACTICE (48 Hours)
COURSE OBJECTIVE: This course introduces the student to the practice of real estate through the study of a common body of knowledge, including key terms and concepts in real estate as well as related federal laws practiced in other states. This course will prepare students for the General Portion of the state exam. 48 hours.
RES-102 COLORADO REAL ESTATE CONTRACTS AND REGULATIONS (48 Hours)
COURSE OBJECTIVE: This practical course introduces students to Colorado license law, regulations, and required contracts. Contracts will be thoroughly examined so that students understand the meaning and intent of the various clauses. This course prepares participants for the Colorado Specific Portion of the state exam.
RES-103 REAL ESTATE CLOSINGS (24 Hours)
COURSE OBJECTIVE: Students will exhibit the basic skills necessary to properly close a real estate transaction including the responsibilities from contract through and after the closing. This course will include examination of the proper methods of accounting for all funds received and disbursed and a comprehensive review of legal documents prepared by the broker.
RES-104 RECORDKEEPING AND TRUST ACCOUNTS (8.0 Hours)
COURSE OBJECTIVE: Learn about the proper recordkeeping procedures required by the Real Estate Commission. Participants will examine the maintenance and recordkeeping necessary for funds belonging to others and related rules and regulations.
RES-105 PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS (32.0 Hours)
COURSE OBJECTIVE: After exploring the laws and requirements dictating the practice of real estate, this course provides a practical spin and gives students insight into the "real world" of real estate. Techniques in the application of contract law, rules and standards of practice will be closely examined and career strategy and planning will be presented.
RES-106 CURRENT LEGAL ISSUES (8.0 Hours)
COURSE OBJECTIVE: Knowledge and awareness of current real estate and real estate related issues will be the focus of RES 106. Participants will discuss current statutes, important legal issues and concerns, and real estate related statutes.
